Warks vs Lancs: Bell and Tott are back! But who misses out?

This week Warwickshire welcome back the two best batsmen in England. (Acceptable level of fan bias present in this post!) Yes, thats right, for the game against Lancashire, and the 2 games that

The Ashes heroes return!

follow as well, the powers that be at the ECB have made Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott availiable to play for Warwickshire in the LV County Championship!

However, this leaves Ashley Giles and Jim Troughton with dificult decisions to make regarding team selection for Wednesday’s game!

A series of batting collapses last season led the Bears to bring in Porterfield and Yousuf for this campaign. Some decent performances with the bat this season – particularily by Varun Chopra – means that competition for a top 6 position is now fierce. The current top six for the last two games were Chopra, Westwood, Porterfield, Yousuf, Troughton and Clarke – with Darren Maddy left waiting in the wings!  Now that Bell and Trott are availiable as well we have 8 good players chasing 5 places in the team.

So who will miss out?

Personally, I would leave out Westwood and Yousuf – but thats only my opinion!

What do you think should / will happen when the team is chosen tomorrow morning?

All comments welcome!
